DC Design Week is back!

For the 16th year running, DC Design Week (DCDW) is bringing together DC’s creative community, which includes those working in print, digital, product, packaging, UI/UX, and illustration industries, as well as artists, makers, entrepreneurs, and anyone who makes DC a creative hub. As design disciplines, the design community, and the DMV itself continue to evolve, DCDW has expanded and changed to meet the moment.

In 2007, a group of AIGA DC chapter members had a vision of creating a scholarship with the goal of helping underrepresented future designers and artists go to college – The Design Continuum Fund. Now, a portion of our proceeds goes to benefit the next generation of creatives.

Every person on the (DCF) committee and on the board of AIGA DC believes in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging and therefore wants to create more opportunities and play a role in increasing diversity within the design profession.

We've awarded nearly 60 scholarships exceeding $90,000 to students studying arts and design at a university within the DC/Maryland/Virginia region.

This Year’s Theme is Stories Within

Design can shape narratives, illuminate information, and create connections. Each one of us has a story to share with the world and a voice that deserves to be boosted. The theme of Stories Within celebrates, amplifies, and encourages design’s impact on the stories we’ll tell.
