Join this two-part interactive workshop to understand how interior space affects every aspect of your wellbeing, and learn strategies to promote wellness in your home and everyday life.

Part 1: Knowledge Exchange

In this expert panel, moderated by The Oasis Alliance’s Founder and CEO Danielle Woodhouse Johnson, three interior design and mental wellness experts will weigh in on the connection between space and wellbeing.

You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A.

Part 2: Deeper Dives

Break into small groups led by our speakers to participate in a hands-on activity focused on the speciality areas discussed during the panel.

Light refreshments will be provided from Teaism by our sponsor HAWJ Studio.

This workshop is put on in partnership with The Oasis Alliance, a local nonprofit that brightens the lives of trauma survivors by co-designing personalized spaces that encourage recovery, growth, and mental wellbeing. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Oasis Alliance to support their work.

    Danielle Woodhouse Johnson is a creative, interior stylist, equity fellow, and the founder of The Oasis Alliance, a local nonprofit that brightens the lives of trauma survivors by co-designing personalized spaces that encourage recovery, growth, and mental well-being.


  • Cathy Guerra

    Owner & Senior Designer, Interior Stylings by Cat; Chief Design Officer, The Oasis Alliance; Lead designer, photography stylist & healer

    Cathy Guerra is a master stylist for the interior design community including photoshoot styling. Her life's work is creating healing spaces for trauma survivors and people who suffer with their mental health.


  • Phylicia Ghee

    Interdisciplinary artist, photographer & curator

    Phylicia Ghee is an interdisciplinary visual artist, photographer and curator. Ghee works in various mediums and her artwork documents transition, explores healing, ritual, ceremony & personal rites-of-passage. She has exhibited widely and in addition to her art practice, Ghee has worked as a professional photographer for over 17 years.


  • Jessica Bantom

    Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) officer and consultant

    Jessica Bantom is a DEIB practitioner, coach, facilitator, speaker, designer, and author (Design for Identity) who is committed to helping aspiring allies take actions that create meaningful outcomes for historically excluded people.

COVID-19 is hard to predict: What happens if in-person events need to be canceled?

When possible, in-person events will be moved to Zoom and a refund should not be expected. If an event is canceled in its entirety, a refund will be issued. In either scenario you will be notified immediately.

How to prepare

  • To prepare for the workshop, take pictures of your home to use as a visual prompt during the breakout group activity.


  • A sign language interpreter will not be present unless requested. If requested, we will do our best to employ a sign language interpreter for the event.
  • The venue is ADA accessible.
  • There are accessible bathrooms at the location.
